Love Under a Bridge

I had a moment on Sunday at Church Under the Bridge where I just sat back and looked around at the over 50 volunteers from The Good Fight Church interacting with various people. I felt this overwhelming feeling of love. I realized the entire day had been about selfless love. What started out as a way to give back to the community, turned into so much more for all of us that day. You see it wasn’t just the volunteers who were spreading God’s love under that bridge. It was the very people we were there to help. Countless times I heard, “thank you” and “God bless you” from seemingly complete strangers. The beautiful thing is we aren’t actually strangers at all. We are linked together by God’s unfailing and perfect love. He has put love inside of us and it is our responsibility to share it. It’s not just a responsibility, but also an absolute honor.

How incredibly humbling it is, that He has trusted us with one of His most important jobs… to spread His love. This huge and amazing God has trusted us. That gives me chills just typing it. Our church is doing some amazing things but God is doing even more inside of each of us. As our church has grown, so have the people in it. I have watched God light a fire inside of all of those involved with our outreach events. Don’t quit now! Keep going. God isn’t done yet! Don’t quit before His next miracle. No matter how little you have to give back, God can always turn it into more (we are talking about the God who fed thousands with 2 fish).  If you haven’t started giving back yet, I encourage you to step out in faith. Do what He has called you to do. He has trusted you with an important yet incredibly simple job. Love God and love others. He will take care of the rest.

Wow! I'm sad I missed it. There are more times to come. Yes this church has been my saving grace. I found love and grace like no other. We all understand that were all broken and human. We want the best for each other and when we don't have the best to give. WE HAVE LOVE AND GRACE. Thank you father for your son that showed us the way.

What a blessing it was to be a part of this outreach. There is nothing better than hanging with family, cooking and talking and going to serve the Lord together. Best day I've had in a while. God is so good!!

I am truly blessed to be apart of a church that puts other first instead of themselves. Helping with recent outreaches has opened my mind to the real meaning of service, and it has helped me appreciate what God provides for my family and I.
